School's nearly up...i'm gonna be off of school because i'm getting out of finals.  I've been reading a lot lately so I feel good about that. I have to read huckleberry finn for AP English III...I book I'm sure I'll 'like' it but not love it. Also noticed the lack of books by women and people of color in the summer reading program...because you know only the note worthy books are written by white men. *smiles* I'm joking...hey I'm fine with Twain, Orwell and etc etc... but god dancing, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Parable of the Sower ( among others by Octavia E. Butler) and The Handmaid's Tale  by Maragert  Atwood ( which I'm about to start reading) would add some diverisity to the mix...oh wait I live in conservative heaven and these women  were *gasp* feminist ( at least the latter two i mentioned, a library has to have To Kill a Mockingbird or they would be belittled) and *gasp*  talked  about controversial things. Dear lords, we'd just die or worse people start to think...heavens no!
