Ramblings of the Little Drummer's Girl
As a baby, I would react to sitar and Hare Krishna songs.
As a toddler, I liked Ricky Martin & Menudo.
As a kid, I danced to Madonna.
As a preteen, I vowed to marry Nick Carter or any Backstreet Boy.
As a teenager, I fell in love with the Scott Moffatt and his guitar.
As a college lass, I enjoyed rock and most of its forms.
A radical change of genre, from pop to rock. There is so much that fascinates me about rock. How it just clears away stress. How it can get very honest. How it can be very strong.
As an adult, I love listening to Armor For Sleep or My American Heart on a good day. To Atreyu, From First to Last, Hidden In Plain View, Saydie or Slapshock on a stressful day. To Paramore, One Star Story, New Years Day and One Way Letter on a hip girly day. To Postal Service or Death Cab For Cutie when I'm sleepy. To The Starting Line or Dashboard Confessional when I'm down. To Typecast, on any given day.
Almost for any emotion, I've got a band to soothe my feelings. A perfect line to calm my thoughts.
Much respect to rock and most of its forms. For being universal.
