Emergenza GBG finals!!

Thank you all for coming to support us at the GBG finals!! The almost never ending encore cheers are still ringing in our ears bringing huge smiles to our faces. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to get us the ticket to Stockholm and the Nordic finals. Tomas was awarded best bassist of the evening which of course he's extremely proud of. We had an awesome time on stage. So to all old and new found friends: You Rock!! Hope to see many of you at Pub Anchor in Stockholm

Huge congratulations to Kid Galahad who are going to Stockholm to represent Gothenburg, also kudos to everyone at Emergenza and all the bands participating. Hope to see you all and maybe sharing stage with you in the future.

Enter Eternity EU Release
The date for the EU release of Enter Eternity is now set to 16/7 and we're now looking for opportunities to do some gigs outside Sweden to follow up on the release. If you know of a venue suitable for us don't hesitate to contact us .

We're in the finals!!

Huge thanks to everyone who came to support us at the Emergenza semifinals, your votes took us to the Gothenburg Finals on May 22. We came in on 3rd place.

The evening was truly great and the competition was fierce so we're really happy to have made it this far. It was awesome to have so many friends there and we also made a lot of new friends that we hope to see again on stage or at our gigs.
Kudos to you all.

Loads of thanks to Björn, Frej and the crew at Sticky Fingers for making this excellent event running this smooth.

More gigdates set

We've just recieved confirmation that we're going to play at Pub Anchor once again (June 12 and 13). We're really looking forward to come back and we hope fill the place once again.

Zero Illusions to conquer Europe

We've just issued the following pressrelease:

Janne, Björn, André och Tomas in metalband Zero Illusions from Gothenburg goes from Strength to Strength. Just recently they have signed a publishing contract with Sound Pollution Songs. The deal in short means that Sound Pollution will work closer together with Zero Illusions on the promotion with Zero Illusions new CD ”Enter Eternity” outside Sweden. The CD will be released in Europe within shortly.

-The release date is yet not set, but it will happen in spring, says Tomas Reinerson, bass, enthusiastic.

Zero Illusions is already distributed through Sound Pollution Distribution since December 2008 so this means an extended relationship with the company.

The band has been working hard since the start in 2004 and has made a big impression on the hard rock and metal scene in Sweden. With enormous frenzy, stage presence and energy, they have quickly become favourites on the major stages in Sweden such as Rockhimlen in Helsingborg, Metal Town in their hometown Gothenburg and Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg.

Sweden Rock Magazine has called Zero Illusions ”A new Swedish hope”

It is time for Europe to turn their eyes and ears to the north. The Thunder comes from Gothenburg and Zero Illusions are ready.

It has been far too long since we gave you an update on what's going on at Zero Illusions HQ.
Fact is that we're almost working around the clock with new projects but it's a little too soon to announce the most spectacular. But until we do here's a few really good news

Emergenza 2009 first round

As you might have seen in our twitterfeed we ended up on 2nd place in the first round of Emergenza Festival which means that we're now in the semifinals. It was great to enter the stage again and we had an awesome time on stage, not to mention meeting good old friends and making new. Yes we really do enjoy that part as well.

We want to send our thanks to everyone that came to see us and who voted for us it does makes a difference and it does mean a whole lot to us. Our thanks also goes to the Emergenza crew for pulling this together, it really requires some huge effort and planning to get an evening to run as smooth as it did. So big shout outs to Björn, Frej and the Musikens Hus inhouse crew!!

We hope to be able to announce some more spring gigs soon as well as the date for the Emergenza Semifinals - we truly hope to see you there.

Happy New Metal Year

2008 has truly been a fantastic year: loads of gigs, the release of Enter Eternity, the amazing reviews it has recieved, the distribution contract we've singned with Sound Pollution and last but not least all the new friends we've made through the year. It feels like we've been taking some real big steps forward this year.

Nothing of this could have happened without the support from you - our friends and listeners, we truly appreciate your support and we hope to earn and keep that support in the future.

Right now we're working on several things that if only half becomes reality, 2009 is going to become even more amazing. But of course we will need your help and support as always.

So heres to that you'll have a fantastic New Years Eve and that 2009 will turn out to be the best ever.

ZI signs distribution deal with Sound Pollution Distribution

We're very proud to announce that we just signed a distribution deal with Sound Pollution Distribution. This means that by Dec 12 our CD Enter Eternity will be available in stores in Sweden as well as on webshops such as CDON , Ginza and SP's own at www.soundpollution.com
This deal also includes digital distribution which means that our songs also will be available at such as iTunes. We're really excited by this since it means that our music will be more widely spread.

Zero Illusions to Guest DJ on Metal Express Radio

On December 12 we will be doing the Guest DJ show at Metal Express Radio, during the show we will be playing songs that has inspired us through the years. After the show MER will be playing a couple of songs from our CD Enter Eternity. The show will be broadcast at 15:00 and 21:00 CET Europe (9:00am and 3:00pm EST - North America)

This is by coincidence the same day as our CD gets it's re-release through Sound Pollution (see separate article).

To listen to the show point your browser to www.metalexpressradio.com and click on the "Tune in here " link in the upper right corner and then select the proper stream format for your player.

As you can see there's truly a lot going on right now and we promise that there will be a lot more in the near future ;)

It's still extremely busy at the ZI headquarters and we hope to be able to announce some really exciting news meanwhile we would like to reccomend two radio stations where we are on the rotation list.

Metal Express Radio
MER is a station broadcast only over the internet playing only Metal from past to present.
Tomas reports that it has quickly become a true fave and he now tune in on daily basis to get his dose of Metal of all sorts.
Request ZI Songs
As soon as there's a DJ online (shown in the upper right column) you can send in requests for your fave music (they do have quite a huge archive) of course we hope that you request a ZI song every once in awhile. Check it out here

Radio SFH 89,2
Radio SFH 89,2 is a Swedish radio broadcast over the Malmö region, every Wednesday 18:00 - 19:30 they have a special block where chances is that you might hear a ZI tune. They also do broadcast over the interne. Please visit them here .

Helloween @ Pub Anchor - wow what a party

It's been busy days lately and it all geared up with the gigs at Pub Anchor this past weekend. It was friggin awesome. A lot of great costumes, loads of new and old friends and a h*ll of a party!!

As you can see in Cecila Wemgård's photos at Plaskis we tried to contribute to the evening ourselves (except of course for the music) trying a new make-up. Check it out and be afraid, very afraid!!
Of course we owe some huge thanks to everyone who made this weekend a total blast, staff as well as visitors and we're already longing to come back.

Review and feature in CloseUp Magazine

As most subscribers of the magazine already knows we're featured on this issues - #106 - compilation CD. We also got a review on our CD (Enter Eternity in case anyone missed it), and got 8/10 and some really kind words by reviewer Johnny Strömbäck. The review is not online but we'll try to have it up in one or another way later. Believe us it's reason to get extatic specially if you're a ZI member. IN case you can't wait; get your own copy of the magazine here or why not get your own hot copy of the CD here and judge by yourself.

There's a lot going on right now and we hope to be able to announce some really great news soon but until then.

It was really great to come back to Backstage Rockbar in Trollhättan. The hospitality and kindness is truly unmatched, we simply love to be there. So huge props to Fredda, Peter and staff for having us - we're really looking forward to see you soon again. Also big shout outs to those who came all the way from Gothenburg and Dals Ed to see and party with us!

Enter Eternity CD Reviews

As you can see in the news we recived more reviews on our CD Enter Eternity. We're incredibly proud and humbled by the references and the general comments in the reviews and we're even more tagged and encouraged in our writing of material for the next album. If you're at the gigs you will hear previews of what's to come.

Thanks for spreading the word

We do Google the web at least once a week and it's so very encouraging to find guestbook and blog comments about us all over the web. It's fantastic to read that we actually do make a difference - it really does mean something special to us. So thanks so very much spreading the word and please keep it up.

Next stop will be Pub Anchor in Stockholm where we will be celebrating Helloween, hope to see a loads of you there.

Kudos to all of you who came to support us at Brewhouse. It was great to see so many known faces in the audience despite the really great weather. It was also great to chat with you all afterwards.

Zero Illusions @ Flying Riders Utefest

It was really great to enter this stage again (for those who haven't been there it's quite a large stage for being a Bikers Club) and The Metal Weather Gods looked kindly on this evening and it became just right.

Huge thanks to FF for a great arrangement and to Hans and "Loved to trash the PA with your music" (sorry we missed your name) for great support and an awesome sound.

Also Big Shout Outs to IceJenny and RobGuz (M.A.N), Roffe in PowerAge, Danne and Rickard in Farbor Münster it was really good to meet you and we hope to see you soon again.

Zero Illusions @ Brewhouse / Kulturkalaset

Dacketräffen props and thanks

Our first gig after the short summer break became Dacketräffen in Virserum arranged by Virserum MC. And wow - what a way to start. The setting, scenery and arrangement was amazing. Over 900 bikers (around 400 bikes) camping on the lakeside with almost everything close at hand - there are very few festivals that could compete with this.

Huge props and thanks goes to Virserum MC and everyone who was involved in the arrangement, we felt more than welcome. It was quite obvious that everyone including us had a great time.

A big shout out goes to our friends in Manimal we really love sharing stage with you and we can't wait til next time. Also never forgetting our 5th member Mackan who made this possible for us. YOU ROCK!!

Wanted!! We saw a lot of cameras during the gig and we really would love if someone could share their images with us. Please contact us through the contact page.

Fängelset Props and thanks

The gig at Fängelset was great, it was really fun to play in front of a different type of audience than we normally play for. I was also really great to listen to and meet new bands where many made their debut performance at this gig.

Special thanks to Ungdomsfullmäktige and the staff at Fängelset for organizing this and inviting us to play and true support. We'll certainly will be back!!

Props and shout outs to Narstrand, Centive, The Naima Trains, Tea Disaster, Sharpchest and Permanently Nameless. And of course huge thanks to our very special friends who came to support us - you know we love you!! (Pictures and maybe some clips will be posted within shortly)

Thanks so very much to everyone who came to celebrate with us despite the fantastic weather. The Release Party became everything we hoped for - A real celebration!! We only wished that we could have spend more time with each of you who came.

It's been quite exciting and busy days lately as you might understand after reading the news.

Pub Anchor
We truly loved playing at Pub Anchor and want to thank everyone who came to see us (Saturday was packed!!) we really had a blast!!
Huge thanks to Micke and the staff of Pub Anchor who really made us feel welcome and a big HELLO to Glyder it was a true pleasure sharing stage with you and we hope to do this soon again.
Greetings also to X Point Enemy sorry that the time got so short but we hope to see you around soon.

Enter Eternity CD release
As you can see in our news it's finally time for our full length CD release. Release date is set to May 30th and we're currently the release party for it. We will continously update this page with details for the party.

It's been quite busy at the ZI headquarters these past weeks so we're a little late in sending our most heartfeld thanks. Anyway here we go:

JLC (Jönssonligan Cruisers)
We did a last minute stand at JLC April 12. We got the call two days in advance so there was little time to advertise. However the gig was awsome and we've found that there's a true Metal heart hammering in Viskafors. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and awesome hospitality!!
Special shout outs to Henke (who has become a true friend) and of course everyone at JLC we'd love to come back to feel the pulse.
Also a big Hello to "Captain Ed " who we shared stage with - awesome to meet you and thanks for some great laughs backstage!! Images will be posted soon!!

The Breeze
Once again we had the honor to share stage with Dismissed who we met at the Emergenza qualification rounds. It was a really first class arrangement with awesome stage actually awesome everything. In short we had a great weekend in Dals Ed and we hope to come back soon!!

Emergenza Thanks

Thanks so much to those to came to support and vote for us at Emergenza. We had a great time and it was really good to meet you and talk to you. The competion was too heavy however and we came in on 4th place so this is the end of the Emergenza adventure for us.

We wish our friends in Last Kingdom and Lucretia's Fate all the best in the finals!!
Props also to "Kungen" we certainly miss your cheers and help on stage!!

Backstage Props and Shout-outs!!

We now know that Trollhättan is a metal town of rank and that the hospitality there - especially at Backstage Rockbar - is outstanding. It was packed with people in front of the stage and the place was just as hot as we love it to be. There has even been some complaints about whiplashes due to excessive headbanging.

Emergenza Festival - Qualification rounds
