Trig welcomes Kelly Harrigan

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the Trig team with industrial designer, Kelly Harrigan joining as Trend and Innovation Manager. Kelly will be responsible for leading customer research studies, organizing and facilitating ideation sessions, as well as pioneering our services with trend research and trend field trips.

Kelly brings extensive corporate experience to the Trig team from her work with global brands at packaging giant, MeadwestVaco. Her most recent role was the Design Strategist for the Home Health & Beauty category at WestRock, Dispensing Systems. Kelly has extensive experience leading ideation sessions for global product teams.  Her work in trend spotting and formulation demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of the subtle influences consumer lifestyle trends can have on a variety of product categories.

Prior to MeadwestVaco, Kelly had industrial design internship at Quirky, an online product development community where she worked on a wide variety of consumer products.

Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in industrial design, psychology, and art in 2010 from Virginia Tech. She started out studying psychology and art, then discovered she could fuse her two interests through the industrial design discipline. While at Virginia Tech, she served as photo editor and layout designer for the Collegiate Times.

"We're thrilled to have Kelly join the Trig team," said Ty Hagler, the company's principal and founder. "Kelly brings fresh perspective to the team in sophisticated trend development and new practices for facilitating ideation sessions. In joining the Trig team, Kelly adds yet another dimension of top-level industry talent.  At Trig, we live and breathe cultivating an enduring culture that attracts the best and brightest, and we look forward to her leadership and impact she will make for our clients."
